Today I learnt that throwing is not as easy when you are cold and rushed! I can get easy shapes but I am having a little difficulty with bowls.
I turned yesterdays vase and put some green slip on it but everything is taking slightly longer to dry and this weekend was particularly busy with gigs and funerals etc.
Tomorrow I will spend a little more time sorting. I seem to have disorganised all my recent pots in reality and electronically and need to match videos with pots and then get myself ready for the last 4 days.
Part of my challenge has been the enormity of blogging and photographing whilst learning skills and leading a life. The band I was in said they did not want me anymore. Probably because I was a bit shit but also because I didn’t make rehearsals. Not surprised really as this was the case but having committed to this I felt it was important to value it and do my best so the rehearsals were not top of my agenda. In the end I am not sorry we have parted company. It is a new beginning and if I am not committed than it is the right decision. I wished them well and was just very grateful I did not invest in even more percussion kit as I am definitely more of a singer than a drummer.
Photo below is of my turned pot and the green slip covered vase. Don’t want to add them to the gallery until I have the numbers sorted. It is now 11.06 and time for bed!
