Day 85: 100 Pots in 100 Days

Day 85: 100 Pots in 100 Days

Diary

Cows, turning pots, decorating pots and throwing pots.

So I sorted all the pots and prepared them for firing. All was going well until I over rubbed a small little vase (number 102) I broke it. Photograph below. My second fail. I thought it was one of the 100 pots – but phew it was one of three! I am sure I will have more but fingers crossed it will be an ugly one!

I did lots of turning and decorating so that the last stage of pots can dry and be fired. I did not get around to making coloured slips today but I have done lots of other stuff and I only have the last 10 pots and 5 cups to prepare.

Things are drying more slowly. in the studio as winter is coming. It is to be expected

My favourite happening today was a herd of cows coming to visit us in the garden. we had to get the farmer over to move them out of the field as our grass obviously looked very very tasty.
