I turned three pots at least today – I sort of lost count really. I know I did P144, P145 & P143. I then moved on to slip decoration. I painted the slip onto to nearly leather hard clay – got a bit impatient and went a head even though the pots really were not quite ready. The pot 143 was almost dry so I painted the slip on while I was turning it. I cut out a design I like on 123 as I wanted to see what happened when the clay with more oxide was fired with elements cut out. I was not sure if it would show. 128 and 141 have also been burnished and cut into and had slip added.
Pot I 46 had slip added (like Pot 145 yesterday) before it has been turned. I will enjoy seeing how it looks when I have turned it.
The final picture is of my sister who is going hungry for our climate. I think she is amazing. I wanted to put here a link to two causes that she feels very strongly about and I hope that others who read this will add their names to if they feel they want to. I have.
