Goodness I felt rubbish today. My pottery really was terrible. I couldn’t throw a bean. Spoke to Dad and he said it was the change in clay and with the white stoneware I needed to throw drier and thicker and then turn back. He told me that the clay was a little like porcelain and was therefore less forgiving.
So after a failed attempt I made a pot which had to have the top cut off.
Our first day of Somerset Art Weeks was a little slow but I got to play on the computer and turn several pots so I am all up to date.
I am looking forward to tomorrow as i am going to start to use my photographs to influence the shapes I try and make.
Day 49 have now made 100 pots.
Day 50 we have raised over £300 pounds.
We are open for Somerset Art Weeks so come and visit and look at the pottery! We are open every day from 11am – 6pm except Mondays. We have pottery, paintings and jewellery as well as the 100 pots exhibition. We are open from 21st September – October 6th 2019
David Dawson and I will be talking about ceramics and my journey on the 16th November at the Cotleigh Brewery.
