Day 52: 100 Pots in 100 Days

Day 52: 100 Pots in 100 Days

Diary

Goodness I felt rubbish today. My pottery really was terrible. I couldn’t throw a bean. Spoke to Dad and he said it was the change in clay and with the white stoneware I needed to throw drier and thicker and then turn back. He told me that the clay was a little like porcelain and was therefore less forgiving.

So after a failed attempt I made a pot which had to have the top cut off.

Our first day of Somerset Art Weeks was a little slow but I got to play on the computer and turn several pots so I am all up to date.

I am looking forward to tomorrow as i am going to start to use my photographs to influence the shapes I try and make.
